Steps to Withdraw EPF money online
While having an EPF is a common practice, most of the employees get stuck on the question of its withdrawal. Also, most people don’t work their entire life in a single company for an extended time, thus further adding up to their worries. While looking forward to withdrawing money from your provident fund, you have to go through a particular procedure. And it is very easy to withdraw your provident here are the steps to EPF money withdrawal online through the UAN portal online.
So, here is everything you need to know
PF is a fund scheme that is managed by the Employee’s provident fund organization. Under the scheme, a person has to contribute 12% of his/her basic pay, and a matching amount will be contributed by the employer also. The scheme’s primary goal is to create a good retirement fund for employees. A person can fully or partially empty his/her provident fund by:
- Online submission of a withdrawal application.
- Physical submission of a withdrawal application.
Steps for Online Submission of withdrawal application:
Step#1: Go to the UAN portal using any search engine.
Step#2: To login, you will be asked for UAN id and password. Enter captcha as instructed.
Step#3: Once logged-in, look out for the tab ‘Manage.’ Post opening manage tab, look KYC. Select it and complete your KYC using any government authorized documents like PAN, Adhaar Card, or bank details.
Step#4: Once the KYC is completed, locate ‘Online Services’, a drop-down menu will show up. Select ‘Claim (Form-31, 19 & 10C)’.
Step#5: Upon the ‘Claim’ screen, you will find your details such as KYC and other services. To verify, you have to enter the last 4-digit of your bank account.
Step#6: You will be asked to sign a certificate of the undertaking, click on ‘Yes’ to sign and then proceed.
Step#7: Finally select ‘Proceed for Online claim.’
Step#8: In the claim form, locate the claim you require i.e., full EPF Settlement, EPF Part withdrawal (loan/advance) or pension withdrawal under ‘I Want to Apply For’ tab. If you are not eligible for any of the services like PF withdrawal or pension withdrawal (can be due to the service criteria), then that option will not appear in the drop-down menu.
Step#9: Once you have selected the claim that you want, select ‘PF Advance (Form 31)’ to withdraw your funds. You will be required to submit the purpose of such advance, the amount needed, and the employee’s address.
Step#10: By clicking the certificate, submit your application.
Physical submission of a withdrawal application
For the physical submission of the application, you can download a new composite ‘claim form online’ at epfindia .gov.in. You will find two types of new composite claim forms, one with Aadhaar card and others without Aadhaar card respectively.
A person with a composite claim form (Aadhaar card) can go directly to any respective jurisdictional EPFO office. Submit the form for withdrawal, there is no need for any attestation from the employer. But, a person with a composite claim (Non-Aadhaar) needs employer attestation while submitting the applications to a respective jurisdictional EPFO office.
You need to provide scanned documents and details regarding your withdrawal condition, after all this your employer will have to approve the request and then only you will receive money. If all the process is done money correctly will be credited to your account in 15-20 days
