A glowing skin is what each one of us strives for. But due to the pollution and other harmful pollutants in the environment, our skin has started to lose its shine and glow. While there are problems like acne, there are others like open pores. The pores present on the skin become enlarged and become visible. These pores are found mostly on oily skin types and when they come in contact with the dust and bacteria, it leads to infections thereby causing small boils all over the skin. Open pores typically look like the orange peel of the orange. Obviously, no one would like to have it as it looks very unattractive. Though some people go in for medication, but I feel the home remedies to heal open pores work the best in most of the situations. Let us take a look at some of the home remedies to heal open pores-

  • Aloevera- Aloe vera works great in cleansing and nourishing the skin by removing oil and dirt from the open pores. Massaging aloe vera gel on the face for about 10 minutes daily will significantly reduce the pores.

  • Eggs and lemon- Eggs are known for healing acne and skin tightening properties. Mix egg white with lemon water and oatmeal to develop into a paste. Apply it on your skin and leave for about 30 minutes. Applying this paste twice a week will significantly reduce open pores.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar- Apple cider vinegar is known for its tightening properties and inflammatory properties. Applying Apple Cider Vinegar with the help of cotton ball every day will reduce pores over time.

  • Papaya- Papaya is known for its cleansing and tightening properties that help in reducing open pores. Applying mashed papaya on your face every alternate day will significantly reduce pores.

  • Baking Soda- Baking soda is known for its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps remove dead skin cells and maintain the pH balance of the skin. Applying baking soda every three to four days after mixing it with water will help significantly reduce pores.

  • Besan- Besan is known for its exfoliating properties, removes dead skin and tightens large pores. Apply the paste to the skin by mixing up besan, turmeric, yogurt and olive oil. Leave it for 20-30 minutes and rinse off. Do this twice a week to see amazing results.

  • Cucumber- Cucumber is known for its cooling properties, slows down aging by providing nourishment to the skin. Apply the face pack made by blending in two to three slices of cucumber with lemon juice. Leave it on the skin for about 15 minutes and wash off. Use it twice a week to witness reduction in open pores.
